An important test for the health of your unborn baby

At Hurley Medical Center, we are dedicated to providing you and your unborn baby (fetus) the very best medical care available today. One important diagnostic test that we perform on our pregnant patients is fetal echocardiography.

Fetal echocardiography is a test that uses sound waves (ultrasound) to evaluate an unborn baby’s heart for problems before birth. This test is done while the baby is still in the womb, usually during the second trimester of pregnancy. This procedure is similar to a pregnancy ultrasound.
