Before you come to Hurley Medical Center for your surgery, you should have the following:

• Insurance cards
• Your picture ID
• A list of all medications you are currently taking
• A list of all known allergies (include latex allergy, if applicable)
• All x-ray, ultrasound or MRI films if the testing was not done at Hurley

Consider bringing a friend or family member with you

When preparing for surgery, there is a lot to think about. Some people find it helpful to bring a trusted friend or family member to their appointments, to support them emotionally and to help them remember things (such as questions to ask, or information the surgeon and medical staff should be aware of).
