Clinician

Clinician delivers results automatically from the hospital’s system directly to clinics and physicians’ practices with privileges at Hurley Medical Center. Many physicians use this system to receive laboratory results and radiology reading reports from the medical center. There are three ways Clinician can deliver your results:

1.      Website
2.      Printed daily
3.      Delivered directly to your EMR

Requirements: To access Clinician, click here. This site was created and is managed by a third party vendor and requires user to have Internet Explorer and Web Browser available. It does not need to be the computer’s default browser but it must be used to access this application.

EPIC (Coming in 2012)

Hurley Medical Center’s vision to be the region’s leader in improving health care delivery is demonstrated in its new partnership with EPIC Systems for the world’s most advanced healthcare software. This new system allows Hurley to implement an integrated electronic medical record that facilitates improvements to the safety and quality of our inpatient and outpatient medical care delivery. This system will replace the current combination of electronic and paper processes and systems currently in use today.

Requirements: EMR interface (more information will be provided as available).

EPIC Care Link

EpicCare Link will provide your office with secure web-based access to information about the care your patients receive at Hurley Medical Center. By having access to EpicCare Link, you will be able to follow the progress of care for patients whom you have referred to us and to improve your ability to coordinate their ongoing care. It also allows for printing and scanning of records in your practice which can eliminate unnecessary phone calls. One of the most important features of this product is the secure messaging function that will allow you to offer electronic consults. EpicCare Link will also make the process of referring patients faster and more efficient.

Requirements: Requires user to have Internet Explorer and Web Browser available. It does not need to be the computer’s default browser but it must be used to access this application.

Medical Records Information System (MRIS)

MRIS provides information for those patients who are admitted to Hurley Medical Center, and contains reports and documents associated with those patients.

Requirements: To access MRIS, click here. You will then be redirected to the proper site and can launch the program which requires the user to have Internet Explorer and Web Browser available. It does not need to be the computer’s default browser but it must be used to access this application.

Philips iSite Picture and Communication System (Known as iSite or PACS)

The iSite system allows you to view x-rays, CT scans, heart catherizations and knee surgeries from anywhere in the hospital and even from home. This new technology provides much clearer pictures for better visualization of the arteries, as well as less radiation exposure for the patient and nurses working in the room. The iSite system is so advanced that you can enlarge the images and see very small details not possible before.

Requirements: Requires a VPN connection, Internet Explorer and Web Browser. It does not need to be the computer’s default browser but it must be used to access the application.

Upon receipt, Physician Services will coordinate HIPAA training (if applicable). Please notify your Physician Services Representative upon completion and your sign-on code and password will be assigned at that time.
