Awards For Hurley Diabetes Education Programs
May 11-Hurley's three Diabetes Education Programs (for adults, children and pregnant women) and the Hurley Center for Health Outcomes recently received two prestigious awards, and the Hurley Center for Health Outcomes has been honored with a certificate of commendation.
A “Special Tribute” from the State Of Michigan
A “Special Tribute” from the State Of Michigan presented at the National Kidney Foundation’s legislative luncheon for its Diabetes and Kidney Advocacy Day was awarded to Hurley's three Diabetes Education Programs and the Hurley Center for Health Outcomes on May 1, 2012. The tribute was signed by Governor Rick Snyder, Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley, State Representative Jim Ananich and State Senator John Gleason, honoring the diabetes programs for their life cycle diabetes and pre-diabetes education, and the Hurley Center for Health Outcomes for its commitment to community service in helping prevent and control chronic disease.
American Association of Diabetes Educators Award
At its general membership meeting on May 11, 2012, the Michigan Coordinating Body of AADE (American Association of Diabetes Educators) awarded its “Outstanding Achievement Award” to Hurley's three Diabetes Education Programs and the Hurley Center for Health Outcomes.
Certificate of Commendation from the Ludwig Foundation
The Hurley Center for Health Outcomes received a Certificate of Commendation from the Ludwig Foundation for its achievements in helping prevent and control chronic diseases.
